We use this data to optimize the app and its content.

We store this data for a period of three months.

3.3 Data from the use of cookies

    a) Google Analytics
The services use Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, California, 94043 USA (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small text files that enable the recognition of your browser and are sent to your computer or mobile device. When cookies are used, the website processes your IP address.

The information generated by the cookie about your use of the services is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Our services use Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()”, so that IP addresses are only processed further in abbreviated form in order to exclude a direct personal relationship. However, by activating IP anonymization in our services, Google will previously reduce your IP address within member states of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the services, to compile reports on the activities in these services and to provide us with further services associated with the use of the website and the Internet. The IP address transmitted within the framework of Google Analytics is not combined with other Google data. For more information, please visit google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/ (general information about Google Analytics and privacy).

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on the service, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of the service. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the app (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by switching off the collection of your user data in the apps via the OptOut switch. Please note that only the measurement of this app will be disabled.

Google will store this information for the period of time set in Google Preferences.

    b) Other tracking systems

The services also use AppAnarchy Ltd.’s own mobile tracking systems and a system from AppsFlyer Ltd. (100 1st Street, 25th floor San Francisco, California 94105, United States) for the determination of statistical parameters for the use of our offer. Measured values are collected. These mobile usage measurements use an unrecognizable identification of your mobile device to identify mobile devices. To ensure that your device ID cannot be assigned to you in our systems, it is encrypted in your end device and the encrypted value is shortened. Only the device identification made unrecognizable in this way is transferred to the systems of AppAnarchy Ltd. and AppsFlyer Ltd. and used as a measurement basis.

The aim of the measurement is to statistically determine the intensity of use, the scope of use and the number of users of the app. For this purpose, information is collected about which functions of our app are used by our customers. Individual users are never identified at any time. Your identity is always protected. You will not receive any personalized advertising through the system.

We store this data for a period of thirty days.

    3.4 Use of location services
Certain functions of the service for automatic location determination use the location access of your terminal device, consisting of GPS function (global navigation satellite system for position determination) and wireless networks (location determined via Wi-Fi or mobile phone networks). The geographical position data of your terminal device is determined and processed by the service (e.g. for determining the current location). This data is deleted after this function has been completed.

    a) Beacons

The application contains a function for receiving information sent by so-called “beacons”. Beacons are stationary Bluetooth radio transmitters based on Apple’s iBeacon technology that allow compatible devices to determine their approximate distance to a nearby beacon. The application can receive information from Beacons integrated by affiliated companies of Ströer Digital Publishing GmbH in the Ströer Group (www.ströer.com), especially in outdoor advertising media (such as billboards or advertising pillars on public or private land).

The application uses this function for statistical purposes only to determine the utilization and use of our mobile weather services by collecting anonymous information and to determine how many users are in the areas of our beacons. To do this, the Beacons send a Bluetooth signal to your terminal device, which the application can then use to record your location and record a randomly generated, anonymous user ID as well as the times of your stay in the area of the respective Beacon and transmit it to servers of the Ströer group. This data is completely anonymous and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your identity or individual identification data of the terminal device you are using (e.g. IMEI no. or other device-specific identifiers). Only the fact that a (for us not identifiable) user of the application has been in the vicinity of a Ströer-Beacon at a certain time is stored. The information transmitted to our servers is not linked to other personal data or used to create motion profiles.

    b) Conditions for use and deactivation

The use of the functions for automatic location determination and the beacon function requires that the Bluetooth interface of your mobile device is activated and visible and that you have also agreed to the use of location data by the application on your mobile device by activating the function for our app. You can activate and deactivate the location services at any time either when you run the application for the first time (during the setup process with the wizard) or later in the operating system settings of your mobile device. If you close the application after activating Site Services, you will also be asked if you want to allow access to your site even if the application is not running.

You can deactivate the data transmission by deactivating the Bluetooth interface of your mobile device or the use of the location data by the app on your mobile device.

    3.5 Data provided by you
Our services offer you the possibility to transmit data to us via contact forms. For example, you can send us information on apps, applications from app developers, other suggestions and tips. You can also contact us via our websites on Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus. In addition to the message content you submit, we process your first name, last name, e-mail address, telephone number, company name, website, company type.

We use this information to respond to your inquiries and improve our service.

We store this data for a period of three months.

    4. The legal basis of processing

    • on the basis of your consent, insofar as you have expressly consented to the processing;
    • because this is necessary for the performance of a contract with us; or
    • because this is necessary because of justified interests of us or third parties. Our legitimate interest is to assess the scope and use of our service.

    5. Transfer to third countries
If you sign in with your Facebook or Google Plus account, the data processed in this connection will be transferred to servers in the USA. In addition, your IP address may be transferred to a Google server in the USA for anonymisation by Google Analytics (see 3.3).
